LB-2 low background α/β measuring instrument is mainly used to accurately measure the specific activity of low level total α and total β of various substances. Used for environmental protection, for water, air, soil, buildings in the detection of radioactivity; Used for sanitation and epidemic prevention, for radioactivity detection in drinking water, food, vegetables, milk and milk products; Used for building materials inspection, granite, marble, sand, cinder block, slag block and other radioactive inspection; Used for monitoring emissions, atmosphere and environment from nuclear power and other nuclear facilities; Others can also be used for radiation protection, health physics, biomedical research, agriculture, archaeology, geology and so on.
Technical indicators
1. There are two independent low background αβ main detector, can measure two samples at the same time, respectively give two samples in the total α, total β activity concentration measurement, with high sensitivity, low background, simple structure, easy to operate, stable and reliable characteristics.
2. When the 2π detection efficiency ratio of β source (active zone Φ20mm) is ≥ 60%, the background count rate per unit area is ≤0.10cm-2min-1.
3. When the 2π efficiency ratio of α source (active region Φ30mm) is ≥ 85%,
Background counting rate per unit area ≤0.002cm-2min-1.
4. Channel ratio: α into β channel ≤1%, β into α channel ≤0.1%.
5. Efficiency stability: α < 2%, β < 3%.

7. Repeatability: the instrument is continuously energized for 24 hours, the efficiency change of each detector is < ±5%.
