1. Weigh 160 mg of Am241 (alpha standard source) and K40 (beta standard source) in the sample tray with a balance.
2. Add alcohol to the weighed standard source and spread it evenly with a glass rod. If the particles are large, use a glass rod to grind them down.
3. Put the paved standard material in an infrared lamp or a drying oven and bake it at a stable temperature of 50° for about 10 minutes.
4. Put the prepared standard material Am241 into the instrument sample measurement drawer.
5. Turn on the instrument and double-click the desktop program icon.
6. Set the measurement parameters, measurement period and measurement time.
7. Click OK after setting the threshold successfully.
8. Start the measurement, and the measurement results will be automatically saved after half an hour.
9. Measuring the β standard source efficiency is the same as measuring the α standard source efficiency, the difference is that the β standard source is measured at the midpoint of the measurement.
10. The quasi-source calibration instrument does not need to be done before each water sample, but can be done once every quarter.
